Let’s face it; traditional media is here to stay. TV will always be part of our daily lives. It’s the wind down medium in the evening and the escapism of the daily grind. Out of home will always form part of the urban and rural landscape, it’s not going anywhere. And radio – the news jingle will always get us to reach for the volume button, our favourite song gets us singing along and we associate and empathise with DJ’s.

Afternoon Sports Radio Battle Heats Up In New York.
Two months post-Mike Francesa and the afternoon sports talk battle is heating up this long, cold winter in New York. With the release of Nielsen’s February PPMs ratings, “The Michael Kay Show” on “ESPN NY 98.7” posted gains on the “The Afternoon Drive with Carlin, Bart and Maggie”— Francesa’s replacement on Entercom sports “The Fan” WFAN-AM/FM (660/101.9).

Sinclair Signals It Plans To Keep Chicago’s WGN Radio
Sinclair Broadcast Group’s blockbuster $3.9 billion deal to buy Tribune Media would create the largest local broadcast television platform in the country.
But as Sinclair files paperwork disclosing which TV stations it’ll spin-off to comply with ownership limits, the company is signaling it has no plan to sell the lone radio station included in the transaction.
